Plants

Aquatic plants are plants that have adapted to living in aquatic environments. These plants require special adaptations for living submerged in water, or at the water's surface. Aquatic plants can only grow in water or in soil that is permanently saturated with water. Some type of plants are good to keep in aquarium and some in aqua terrarium.

We offer easy, medium and hard to grow tropical plants ( for example: Cryptocoryne, Sagittaria, Ambulia, Anubias, Echinodorus, Hydrocotyle, Moss)

Submergent plants are rooted plants with most of their vegetative mass below the water surface, although some portions may stick above the water. One discerning characteristic of submergent plants is their flaccid or soft stems, which is why they do not usually rise above the water̢۪s surface. Water Wisteria, Java Moss, Lilaeopsis, Saggitaria are example of carpet plants. Carpet plants are smaller and tend to spread out rather than grow tall. They provide an attractive green carpet for your aquarium. Example easy plants for the Mid-ground and Background in aquarium are Amazon Sword, African Water Fern, Green Tiger Lotus, Anubias, Cryptocoryne.

True Floating Plants are not attached to the bottom. Floating plants come in sizes from very small (duckweed and pistia stratories) to over a 30 cm in diameter (water hyacinth). Most have roots that hang in the water from the floating green portions.

Emergent plants are rooted plants often along the shoreline that stand above the surface of the water (cattails). The stems of emergent plants are somewhat stiff or firm.
